Hello warriors! The first Mogu’shan Vaults raid in WoW MoP Classic finally opened on July 31st. Have you managed to conquer it yet?
As the first raid challenge, the developers didn’t intend to dampen player confidence right out of the gate, so Mogu’shan Vaults is just a warm-up, allowing you to gather gear and a source of MoP Classic WoW gold. However, don’t let your guard down completely, as danger still exists: the guardian boss within this vault.

There are six bosses in Mogu’shan Vaults, and you’ll encounter them one after another as you progress through the dungeon. These enemies can be a bit troublesome, but they’re not insurmountable. The only boss you need to be wary of is the final battle, Will of the Emperor, which is also one of the most iconic boss encounters in Mists of Pandaria Classic.
In this boss fight, you’ll not only have to deal with countless waves of minions, but you’ll also have to defeat two of the most powerful Emperors. But don’t worry, IGGM will show you how to properly defeat these powerful enemies and make it to the end to claim all the rewards.
Phase One – Three Types Of Adds
Will of the Emperor boss fight consists of two phases. In the first phase, you’ll battle countless minions, while in the second, you’ll face two Emperors, with the previous adds appearing at any time.
First, let’s quickly discuss the adds that appear in Phase One. These adds are mainly divided into three types: Emperor’s Rage, Emperor’s Strength, and Emperor’s Courage.
Each add has a specific countermeasure, requiring your team to split into small groups to handle them. Keep an eye out for doorways in the walls; these are where enemies spawn. Their spawn locations rarely change, so if you’re observant, you can kill them the moment they respawn.
Note that when any of these adds dies, a Titan Spark spawns, a dangerous ball of lightning that locks onto a random player and slowly moves toward them. If anyone gets close to it, the spark explodes, dealing 750,000 damage to enemies within an 8-yard radius and increasing the attack speed of all enemies struck by it by 50% for 2 minutes.
For this reason, it’s recommended to prepare some Healing Potions before starting a raid. They don’t cost much WoW Classic Mists of Pandaria gold, but can boost your survivability in crucial moments. Therefore, it’s a wise idea to prepare them in advance.
Emperor’s Strength
Next, let’s start with Emperor’s Strength.
These adds will appear in groups of two on either side of the room approximately 30 seconds after the fight begins, with a normal aggro table.
However, they don’t actually offer a very difficult melee attack, so simply assign two Plate DPS to tank them. DPS Warriors, Retribution Paladins, and Death Knights are all good choices.
The goal here is to keep Emperor’s Strength near walls and away from the rest of the team, as they possess a skill similar to the main boss called Energizing Smash. They create a large area-of-effect damage ring on the ground, which rotates and then slams down. Therefore, if you’re the tank on your team, you’ll need to dodge them quickly.
When they spawn, Hunters should guide them to their designated tanks, and ranged DPS should quickly begin attacking them. Just be very careful not to increase their aggro to prevent sparks from raining down on the team. Remember, your goal is to keep them as far away from everyone in your team as possible.
Emperor’s Courage
Next, let’s talk about Emperor’s Courage. These guys are quite annoying. They spawn on the very side of the room and target the tank farthest from their spawn point—the tank currently attacking the main boss. Their target is indicated by a large red line connecting it to the tank.
Additionally, a few seconds after they spawn, they’ll be covered in Half Plate, making them immune to frontal attacks. This means DPS must focus their fire on these guys from behind. And since these adds move quickly, you should try to slow them down as much as possible before attacking them.
Note that they can’t be stunned or rooted, so you must eliminate them before they reach their target. This means you can ignore your threat bar and focus your fire until they’re gone.
These adds will begin spawning about a minute into the fight, and then approximately every 90 to 2 minutes thereafter. So, keep an eye on these timers and be ready when they spawn.
Emperor’s Rage
Finally, let’s discuss the third and, in my opinion, most challenging adds: Emperor’s Rage.
These adds will spawn approximately 10 seconds after the fight begins, and then approximately every 30-45 seconds thereafter. Because the spawn rate varies, the spawn times for all the adds can be a bit chaotic, so you’ll need to pay close attention.
They spawn in one of six small compartments deep within the room. Three of these are near the ground level, and three are upstairs. When they spawn, they lock onto a random player in the raid and quickly move to them, unless they’re slowed or stunned for some reason.
Note that they also drop a Titan Spark upon death. However, since these guys are completely controllable, we’ve chosen to rarely kill them. Instead, we’ll have two Druids use their Mass Entanglement spell to hold them in place for the entire fight.
Each Mass Entanglement spell lasts 20 seconds, but has a 30-second cooldown. This means that once one Druid has rooted all enemies, the next Druid needs to spawn it 15-20 seconds later to maintain control of these adds.
In short, these adds are crucial to your first phase. To easily defeat them, you’ll need not only the best gear but also the right class specs. If you’re out of options, you can check out the relevant class guides on IGGM.com. Not only that, the cheap WoW MoP Classic gold for sale here can also give you a significant advantage in the game.
Phase Two – Two Emperors
Next, Jan-xi and Qin-xi will spawn 90 seconds after the fight begins, and Phase Two will begin. However, all the adds and abilities from Phase One remain active.
These two Emperors are no joke; each packs a formidable attack.
Early in this phase, you’ll need to make sure your abilities are always on cooldown when they attack you in melee.
The two Emperor bosses appear from two large boxes on the curved side of the room. They will perform a small bow animation and then begin attacking the tank. At this point, the tank should charge forward and force them into the corner near the room’s entrance.
Once you reach their target, flip them over so they face your team. This will help other players in the room complete their ranged attacks and prepare for each boss’s special abilities.

Now, let’s talk about Devastating Combos for these two bosses.
Approximately 25 seconds after they appear, they’ll begin unleashing these combos. You’ll need to circle around them to avoid their attacks.
Each attack will unleash a 10-hit combo. These combos have several variations: one that attacks in a wide arc to the right, one to the left, one forward, and one that attacks in a small radius around them.
Now, you need to dodge all of these combos in time. On Normal difficulty, if you dodge five attacks in a row, you’ll be able to cast Opportunistic Strike, dealing 500,000 damage to the boss. On Heroic difficulty, you’ll need to dodge 10 attacks in a row, but the spell will deal 1,000,000 damage.
If you’re hit, you’ll be inflicted with a stacking armor reduction debuff for 2 minutes. If you have more than 3-4 of these debuffs, you’ll need to give up attacking and focus on dodging and waiting for them to wear off, otherwise you risk being killed by the boss in one blow.
However, you should try to initiate Opportunistic Strike as often as possible, as defeating them quickly is key. So, when you think everything is going well, and the timer shows about a minute left, activate Bloodlust and unleash your mighty attack on the boss.
Now, just keep the adds under control and arrange your tanks and DPS accordingly, and the two Emperors should be defeated in no time!
Anyway, this is the boss challenge you’ll eventually encounter in this Mogu’shan Vaults. While you’ll have to contend with waves of adds throughout this Will of the Emperor boss fight, mastering these techniques will make defeating them all a matter of time. Now, with victory within your grasp, it’s time to dive into the vault and enjoy your Mists of Pandaria Classic gold and tons of loot!
